Jax is also at the age where he is constantly adding new words. Some of his favorites right now are ...
-Gorilla. We have a alphabet train puzzle and the G is for gorilla. He will tear the box apart trying to find the piece and then does a victory dance, makes the gorilla sounds and beats on his chest when it is located. Lately, he also talks about Mimi along with the gorilla. I think it's because he loves them both so much. Mimi is the last relative he has that looks like a gorilla!
-Belly. To say Jax loves his belly is an understatement. He loves to pull up his shirt and show off his nice round belly. He likes to pull up other peoples shirts and show of their bellies too. Sometimes, the belly will even get a zerbert from him. I got tag teamed tonight by the boys...I was sitting in the floor leaning against the couch. Jax climbed up behind me and flipped over my head, pulled up my shirt while Liam came in for the belly zerbert. It was like they planned it.
-Shoes. Jax loves shoes...his, Liam's, mine, Daddy's. The best is when Brent puts Jax into his boots...they are longer than his little legs. He will stand there for a few seconds and then just falls to one side. I've tried to get video but haven't been successful yet. He not only loves to put them on and loves to put them away! He will take his shoes off, pick them up and take off running towards his room so he can throw them in his shoe basket. I love that!
-Plane/Choo-choo. I think it is innate for boys to love planes, trains, trucks, helicopters, scoopers or anything big. He will be in the middle of something, pause and yell "plane" or "choo-choo" before I even heard it. And, it's always there or we can hear it in the distance. It is quite amazing.
-Mommy. As in "mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy..." which is music to my ears until it is being said at 4:30am.
-Jaxie. As in "Jaxie, Jaxie, Jaxie, Jaxie, Jaxie..." which usually happens when I respond to "mommy, mommy, mommy" with "Jaxie, Jaxie, Jaxie" but it is fun to hear him say his name. He'll also say it when he sees himself in the mirror or in a picture.
-See. Whenever he wants us to look at something or watch him, he'll say "see!" And, we had better stop whatever we are doing and give him our full attention.
-Go! We hear this when he wants us to go do something or to go see something. It is almost always accompanied by him grabbing our hand and pulling us in the direction he wants us to go.
-Denk. Also known as dance. And let me tell you, he has got some moves and he loves to show them off. His favorite place to "denk" is on Liam's bed which is also known as jumping on the bed but he loves it and they have a blast. He will also grab our hand, say "GO!" and lead us to where ever he wants to dance then then proclaim, "DENK." And you had better turn on some music!
Jax is now 20 months old (and 2 days, but who's counting?).
