Jax has really taken it up a notch with his speech. He is talking up a storm and likes to repeat things that he hears. The first one that I absolutely love is "I don't know." He is very deliberate in delivering this line. You ask him a question, he answers with super clear pronunciation, "I don't know." I really want to get this on video. We can thank his big brother Liam for this phrase.
He also has taken to using the word 'seriously'. He always gets the context right when he uses it. I'll claim this one because it is my go to word when I'm frustrated and being impatient. For example, we are sitting at a red light, the light turns green and the cars don't move. I'll usually say some thing like, "Come on people, let's go. Seriously!" Today we were in the car, waiting in a line and no one was moving, Jax yelled from the back seat, "Let's go! Seriously!" His pronunciation is a little off so it usually is pronounced "Sear-us-lee!" Love it!
He is also into making up his own prayers at dinner. Our friend Lily taught us the A-B-C Prayer that goes like this..."A, B, C, D, E, F, G Thank you God for feeding me. " Jax takes it to a whole new level....he'll sing, "A, B, C, D, E, F, G the itsy bitsy spider got eaten by a lion....insert incoherent words....thank you God for feeding me!"
The one that melts my heart every time he says it is, "I love you, mommy." And I hear it many times a day. I could hear it 1,000s of times a day it it would not be too many!
Every night we say prayers before we go to bed. We always start with "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, may God guard me through the night and wake me with the morning light." Jax does a good job remembering the words most of the time. However, his pronunciation of soul is really drawn out and my absolute favorite is the pronunciation of morning, "MORN-GING." I'm really dreading the day he says morning instead of "morn-ging." So cute!
