Edible Paints and Glow Baths

A friend of mine, thank you Traci (Educated for Love), introduced me to a blog about playing at home (Play at Home Mom).  We've tried a few of the ideas and can't wait to try some more.  Both that we tried were big hits.

Edible Paints - You can't go wrong with sweetened condensed milk & food coloring!  Don't plan on saving the "paintings" though...it never dries.  I put a big plastic $1 table cloth on the island, let them stand on chairs and they went to town.  Clean up was easy...wipe off the boys and throw the rest away after taking pictures, of course!

Glow Bath - In an effort to do something fun and wet but not outside, I ran to the Dollar Store and spent $10 on the jumbo glow sticks and two extra long necklaces.  The boys loved it and are asleep right now with their glow sticks.  I loved it because we didn't have to go outside in the heat!

Note to self...don't buy necklaces again.  They might turn into swirling flying objects that have potential to hurt and sling water all over the bathroom!  They do make for some cool pictures though!
