Sometime last spring I sat down and made a list of all of Liam's favorite sayings and words. I'm sure I've forgotten some but these are the ones we heard daily. He was right around 2 years old.
Here's the list:
What in the world?!
Come on, mommy/daddy. Let's go!
I see __________. (Plane, bus, helicopter but pronounced hell-copter, big truck, boat, trailer, motor bicycle, anything transportation related.)
Let's race.
I go backwards. (Pronounced backards. Thank you, Mater!)
Move Jo or Osie (Jo & Rosie are our dog dogs as Liam calls them and they are always in his way.)
Put big truck/car/helicopter night, night. (We used to put his toys to bed in order to get him to clean up!)
All done.
Shoes on.
High in the sky.
Go church, play with my friends.
Let's go _________, let's go! (Our favorite one was, "Let's go Freebirds! Eat, eat!!!)
Eat, eat.
Call Mimi?!
Okay! (Pronounced Ohhh-kaaaaay!)
Stay __________! (Fill in the blank with mommy or daddy. This was used whenever he wanted us to stop and leave him alone. We heard this a lot then!)
A blanket, a bear!
A baba with cockette (Also known as a sippy cup with chocolate milk.)
If I were to sit down today and try to make this list, I would need a full notebook. Once he started talking, he has never stopped. His vocabulary amazes me and others around us who are listening. I took him to Costco with me one night and he named everything I bought as they were putting it back in the cart. The cashier and gentleman behind me didn't believe me when I told them he was 2 1/2. It was quite impressive. He really blows me away when he uses expressions correctly. I've been corrected several times with the words, "Well, actually, mommy." I'm in so much trouble when he is a teenager.
