Family Camp

Our church hosts family camp every year at Camp Grady Spruce on Possum Kingdom Lake.  This year was the first year we were brave enough to take our boys.  It was a lot of fun despite the torrential downpour and the fact that we left early.  It's hard to be upset about rain when the area has had two devastating wildfires in 6 months and the lake level is 14 FEET lower than it should be.  We made the most of our time though.  We went canoeing, threw more rocks into the lake than I could count, went on a very wet and cold boat ride, saw lots of deer, got lost, enjoyed sharing a cabin with some wonderful friends, etc.  Here are some pictures.

Rock statues....all of that should have been under water.  Under lots of water!  Liam wasn't happy about not being able to knock all of those statues down!

Notice the steps going up the side of the cliffs and no houses?  We saw lots of evidence of the wildfires.
