Weekend with Mommy

November and December mean deer season.  In a few years, the title of this post will be Mommy's Weekend Off!  Right now, though, the boys get to spend the weekend with me doing whatever I can come up with.  I thought it would be fun to make sugar cookies.  The kind you actually roll out, cut with cookie cutters, peel off of the counter, put on the cookie sheet and then decorate before you bake them.  I forgot three important details...

First, it was 2 against 1.
Second, the oldest was 3.
Third, the youngest was 1.

So the wonderful memories that I had dancing through my head collided with reality less than 10 seconds into this adventure.  The boys had a blast.  My dogs loved the raw sugar cookie dough being thrown at them.  Jax discovered that you really can just pour sprinkles into your mouth straight from the bottle.  And, they both figured out really fast that there were two of them and only one adult and they took advantage of that!!!  To top off the adventure, neither one of them would even taste their cookies after I baked them.

Things to notice:
There is only one picture of use attempting to cut out cookies.
For Jax, the more sprinkles the better.  Every kind must be added to every cookie.
For Liam, he is very judicious in his approach...this actually applies to everything in life not just his sugar cookie decorating.

Jax's finished product.

Liam's finished product.
